New Media Platform : "Dynamic wiz kid"

One of the primary film / documentary producers for the Urban Culture Development Project! Consisting of young entreperneurs that have grown tired of the infested coach-potato / laid-back attitude. Bored stiff with what has been bombarding the TV frequencies and media hype; like you can almost picture them thinking... "we can do (sh)it better". And thats exactly what they do! A very young enterprize consisting of (graduated) film- and environmental students capable of making you look at the very ordinary in a very different way. A quality highly saught after and highly respected! When I approached New Media for there assistance with the project, they immediately showed interest knowing that there were no short term financial gain. They were more interested in the vision and the concept behinid an endeavour of this kind. Big up... their work speak for itself!

Working out of his small bedroom, this dynamic wiz kid (brother Anthony- Dan), has really done some of the sickest filming and editing of different exponents of Urban Street Culture that I've seen in a span. At a drop of a hat.... he be like... "yo lets do this shit". A non-conformist in his own right who has a feel, taste and anticipation for urban culture, and a willingness to slave away deep into the night. You can catch him at a show/gig with his camera, at the skate park, in the City centre, outside clubs catching a free-style cypher, at the various Graffiti walls-of -fame... interviewing people left-right-and -centre.
With these short edited clippings, the viewer get a brief introduction on different aspects of urban living in Cape Town. From taking a taxi out of the city centre... to going into the ghetto and comparing it with the very rich areas, almost a stone throw away from each other... and some aspects of the Rastafari Culture in South Africa. Look and see for yourself! Its not your average S.A. Tourist Board way of presentation... cause in anyway they only paint a pretty picture of the ideal holiday destination, totally overlooking what makes up the heart and soul of the Mothercity...
