Shamanic Organic : Marriage
of multi-media and healing
 |
Shamanic
Organic is a marriage of multi-media and healing, embracing
the African Renaissance, with a focus on the alleviation
of people's problems. The media can be used as a means
of mass communication and education, to convey messages
which are progressive, empowering, pacifist and earth-friendly,
contrary to what is being reflected on television at
the moment. |
Shamanic
Organic is to challenge the stereotypes created by
the Hollywood controlled mass media, which continuously
depict images of violence, promiscuity and glamourised
drug use. South African television has been culturally
colonised by American programming, together with Eurocentric
images and values in the advertisement of stereotypes.
